About the Founder
Ziad Makhzoumi is widely recognized for achieving significant value increase through restructuring, team building and leadership expertise. Extremely well regarded in dealing with internal and external constituencies, including analysts, regulators, investors, media, and financial institutions. A dynamic and charismatic senior executive with global experience and strong leadership and communication skills, an expert on strategy formulation and execution, restructuring, managing business turnarounds, mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and fund raising; expertise developed within listed organizations and privately held companies. Ziad started his career in 1981 with Booz & Co the largest leading global management consultants. During the next 27 years, he assumed executive and non-executive responsibilities in various industries globally. He was appointed the CFO of Arabtec Holding PJSC in 2008 where he led the financial restructuring of the largest listing contracting company in the region. After leaving Arabtec in 2013 he Joined Fakih IVF as their CEO, and turned the business which started as one clinic into the undisputed leader in its sector in the UAE. Ziad is an astute public speaker and author and has been frequently quoted and interviewed in the media and was voted in 2009 as The Revolutionary CFO of the Year and for Excellence in Finance in 2010 and in 2011 as the Most Admired CFO in the Middle East. He was also voted as the Investor Relations Personality of the Year by over 200 Fund Managers and Investment Advisors. Wall Street Journal listed him in 2010 among the top 20 influential non-royal decision makers in the UAE. Arabian Business listed him in 2012 among the top 500 most influential Arabs in the world and recently among the top 50 influential Brits in the UAE. Ziad was also awarded the Middle East CEO of the year in the Healthcare Sector 2014 by CEO Middle East magazine.
