The Founding Partner
Ziad Makhzoumi is widely recognized for creating value in businesses, achieving significant profit improvements through restructuring, team building, and leadership expertise. Extremely well regarded in dealing with external constituencies, including analysts, regulators, investors, potential investors, media, and financial institutions. He is a dynamic and charismatic senior executive with global experience and strong leadership and communication skills and an expert on strategy formulation and execution, restructuring, managing business turnarounds, mergers, acquisitions, divestments and fund raising developed within listed organizations and privately held companies.
Ziad started his career in 1981 with Booz & Co the global management consulting company. From 1985 till 2000, Ziad became the CFO and CIO of a Luxembourg based private holding company with operations in North America, Europe, and the MENA region. From the beginning of 2001 till his appointment as the CFO of Arabtec Holding PJSC in 2008, a challenging role that launched Ziad as an expert on restructuring and turnaround situations, Ziad was involved in strategic consultancy and private equity buyouts and restructuring activities in Europe, the Middle East and North America.
In 2013, and over 3 years, Ziad built the Fakih IVF Group, to become the leader in fertility treatment in the GCC and the MENA Region.
Ziad is a published author, his latest book Intelligent Learning: Competing in Systemic Chaos offers business leaders an effective approach for success on how to manage the complex dynamics in the continuously changing business environment.
Ziad is an astute public speaker and has been frequently quoted and interviewed in the media and was awarded in 2009 The Revolutionary CFO of the Year award, in 2010 Excellence in Finance award, and in 2011 the Most Admired CFO in the Middle East award. Wall Street Journal listed him in 2010 among the top 20 influential non-royal decision makers in the UAE. Arabian Business listed him in 2012 among the top 500 most influential Arabs in the world and in 2015 among the top 50 influential Brits in the UAE. Ziad was also awarded the Middle East CEO of the year in the Healthcare Sector 2014 award by CEO Middle East magazine.
